Art's love for the sport of sailing shows in his approach to teaching. With a lot of patience, a relaxed teaching style and a little humor, he makes the learning experience enjoyable for everyone.
He is a Certified Sailing Instructor through the American Sailing Association, an association with worldwide recognition. Additionally, Art holds a U.S. Coast Guard Master's Captain License. He is also highly experienced as a skipper and an ocean racer who was a crew member aboard the J'Erin in the Newport-Bermuda Race in 2004. J'Erin won first place in both her class and her division.
